Max Verstappen praised Lando Norris after the McLaren driver became the new Formula One World Champion on Sunday, December 7. Verstappen's 4187-day run as the champion of the sport came to an end despite him winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver needed Norris to finish fourth or lower to retain his crown.
