Pollution levels in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) remained in the very poor category on Monday morning, extending the spell of toxic air that has lingered over the region for several weeks. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 318, marking a slight increase from Sunday’s readings.
Bawana recorded the highest AQI on Monday at 368, while several other monitoring stations, including Anand Vihar and Pusa, also reported levels above 350.
In neighbouring parts of the NCR, Noida and Ghaziabad also fell in the poor category, recording AQI levels of 333 and 325 respectively. However, air quality was relatively better in Gurugram and Faridabad, with Gurugram logging an AQI of 282 (poor) and Faridabad registering 200 (moderate).
