Simranpreet Kaur Brar delivered a stunning performance in the ISSF World Cup Final in Doha on Saturday as she claimed a gold medal in women’s 25m pistol event. The young shooter topped in the final with an incredible score of 41 – she also matched the World Junior Record as she secured the biggest win of her career. Her father did many sacrifices to support her but one of the biggest was that he left his government job to support her career.
This has also increased India’s medal tally to six – this includes two gold, three silver and one bronze. Esha Singh is also other Indian in the eight-shooter final who finished seventh, while Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker narrowly missed qualification, ending ninth.
