SCRANTON, Pa. — On Sunday, in its 34th year, the Santa's Snippers student volunteers provided a hair wash with local professional stylists handling the haircuts.
Guests were also greeted with refreshments.
Peg Ruddy, of the Women's Resource Center, said, "The money that we raise here today, we can use to help families get through the holidays. They may need food, or you know a safe place to stay, so it goes directly into helping families that are in danger in our community."
The proceeds from the haircut event go towards the women's resource center to support survivors.
