After nearly eight years of legal battle, a Kerala court is set to pronounce its verdict at 11 am on Monday in the 2017 sexual assault case in which Malayalam actor Dileep is among the prime accused.

The verdict is expected at 11 am before Ernakulam District and Principal Sessions Judge Honey M Varghese.

The case stems from the abduction and alleged sexual assault of a leading Malayalam female actor, who was molested inside her car for nearly two hours in Kochi on February 17, 2017.

Ten accused faced trial, including Pulsar Suni, Martin Antony, Manikandan B, Vijesh VP, Salim H, Pradeep, Charly Thomas, Dileep (real name P Gopalakrishnan), Sanil Kumar alias Mesthri Sanil and Sharath.
