Tartan Army buskers are set to be hit with a £16,000 bill to belt out Flower of Scotland and other fan favourites – or face deportation from the States.
The warning was given by legendary Tartan Army song-leader Ted Christopher, who has toured with the team for decades. Along with Donald Trump edicts that tighten entry requirements for the US, hardline rules on working there have meant entertainers are forced to cough up or face possible sanctions.
That means any buskers wanting to entertain the Tartan Army in Boston or Miami wil face a huge bill on top of soaring travel and hotel costs.
