Two lanes have been shut on the Staffordshire M6 this morning. A broken-down vehicle has led to the closure of lanes one and two on the M6 southbound between junction 14 for Stafford North and junction 13 for Stafford South.

The incident was first reported at 5.45am this morning.

Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: "There is queuing traffic due to an earlier broken-down vehicle on the M6 southbound."

The M6 queues come as 'queuing traffic' is also being reported on the A50 eastbound at the Ashbourne Road roundabout in Uttoxeter. 'Usual slow traffic and queues' are also being reported on the A500 northbound on the approach to the M6 junction 16 roundabout for Stoke-on-Trent North and on the A500 southbound approaching the M6 junction 15 roundabout for Stoke-on-Trent South.
