Wayne Rooney has blasted Mo Salah for his ‘disrespectful’ outburst, accusing the Liverpool icon of ‘arrogance’ for his shock rant.

The Reds forward has been left out of the starting XI of late, relegated to the bench for the last three games and did not even get on during the 3-3 draw with Leeds on Saturday.

After the dramatic contest at Elland Road the Egyptian spoke to reporters and said the club had ‘thrown him under the bus,’ using him as a scapegoat for the poor run of form this season.

The 33-year-old said he now has no relationship with manager Arne Slot and suggested that he could leave Liverpool in January, so unhappy is he with the situation.
