AKRON, Ohio — Gas prices are on the rise here in Northeast Ohio.
Drivers in Akron saw gas prices jump 14.2 cents per gallon within the last week, according to GasBuddy. The city’s new average is now listed at $2.67.
Cleveland saw a much smaller increase as gas prices rose two cents within the last week, bringing the city’s average up to $2.72. GasBuddy reports that Cleveland’s gas prices are 37.4 cents lower than a month ago and 14.5 cents cheaper than a year ago.

The national average, however, dropped five cents to $2.90. That’s down 17.6 cents from a month ago and 7.3 cents lower than a year ago.
