Odisha reported 3,205 rape cases between July 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the State Assembly today.
He shared the figures while responding to a query from MLA Prasanna Acharya.
During the same period, police registered 202 cases of attempted rape, 9,851 cases of molestation, and 1,476 cases of sexual harassment. Majhi stressed that the numbers reflect a disturbing trend of violence against women across the state.
The data further revealed 2,310 cases of public disrobing, 152 cases of voyeurism, and 556 cases of stalking. Authorities also recorded 4 acid attacks, 129 trafficking cases, and 796 incidents of eve-teasing.
