Actor turned politician, and Tamizhaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Thalapathy Vijay, will hold his first rally after the stampede in Karur, Tamil Nadu, on December 9. Notably, the police authorities have approved the rally in Puducherry under strict security rules.

Entry to the rally in will only be allowed through QR codes, and permission for only 5000 people is given to the party. Additionally, the administration has not permitted a roadshow.

Such precautions by the authorities and the political party have been taken, as the roadshow done by the previous actor had resulted in a major stampede. At that time, 41 people were killed, which included nine children, 18 women, and 13 men. Moreover, around 120 people were reported injured
