The New York Jets barely showed up in their 34 – 10 ritual flogging at the hands of the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. The offense was offensive. Brady Cook cooked, and let’s just say he’s in no danger of whipping up a tasty dish any time soon. The defense was in a generous mood, gleefully gifting the Dolphins offense anything they wanted for the holiday season. It was as if the entire team, sans the always superb special teams, took to heart the call of some Jets fans to tank. Fittingly, the Jets humiliation resulted in their mathematical elimination from the playoffs for the 15th consecutive season. Jets fans deserve better than this.
