₹2,470 Crore Scholarship Aid Given to 11 Lakh+ ST Students in 5 Years: Gujarat Govt December 08, 2025

Gandhinagar: More than 11 lakh Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in Gujarat have received scholarship assistance worth approximately ₹2,470 crore over the past five years under the Central Government’s Post Matric Scholarship Scheme , Tribal Development Minister Naresh Patel said on Monday.

Addressing the media in Gandhinagar, Minister Patel said the scheme, aimed at ensuring higher education opportunities for ST students, has played a crucial role in enabling them to pursue professional and academic courses. The scheme covers key fields such as medical, paramedical, engineering, arts, commerce, science, and education courses including B.Ed and M.Ed.
