LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The University of Louisville is headed to Florida and will play in the Boca Raton Bowl.

Louisville will take on Toledo (8-4) at 2 p.m. on on Dec. 23 in “Boca Raton.

This is the fifth consecutive year the Cards (8-4, 4-4 ACC) have been invited to a bowl game and the third under head coach Jeff Brohm.

The game is the first meeting between Louisville and Toledo since 1981. They met eight other times with the Cards having a 5-3 advantage over the Rockets.

Heading into bowl season, Louisville ranks in the top 20 in total defense, averaging 300.3 yards per game and are 15th in the nation with 14 interceptions.
