SRINAGAR : A man died on Monday after allegedly jumping into the River Jhelum from Sonwar Bridge in Srinagar, officials said. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp
According to initial information, the man fell into the river near Jhula Bridge, Sonwar, triggering an immediate response from local people, who managed to pull him out of the water. He was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, for medical treatment.
Hospital sources said the man, whose identity has not been established yet, was brought to the hospital by a person. Doctors at SMHS declared the victim dead on arrival.
The deceased man, believed to be around 40 years of age, had allegedly jumped from Sonwar Bridge into the River Jhelum.
