You may want to hold off on buying a Samsung Galaxy S26 when it launches next year, as Samsung apparently has big plans for future phone cameras.
This takes the form of a continuous optical zoom camera lens, which Samsung is making with the help of Largan (a Taiwanese component maker) for Tecno, the Chinese company known for phones like the Spark Slim and the Phantom Ultimate G Fold (via Sammobile)
The Samsung/Largan team-up will result in two lenses, according to Tecno's announcement. And the one we're particularly interested in is the Freeform Continuum Telephoto lens, which offers 1x-9x zoom, combining the usual main and telephoto cameras.
