Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 52-year-old farmer died, allegedly by suicide, after he became depressed due to mounting debts at Sungapur village in Tiryani mandal on Sunday night.
Police said Durgam Rajaiah, a tenant farmer from the village, consumed pesticide, after which he was rushed to a hospital in Asifabad. Doctors declared him brought dead.
Rajaiah had raised cotton in 10 acres leased from a local farmer, for which he borrowed loans. He incurred losses following a dip in yield caused by unfavourable climatic conditions
