Steve Parish says he has not given up hope of Oliver Glasner signing a new contract at Crystal Palace .

Glasner is out of contract next summer and there has been no indication of a breakthrough in talks over a new deal for the man who led Palace to FA Cup glory last season.

The Palace boss has cast doubt on his future by routinely questioning the club’s approach in the transfer market.

While Parish believes Glasner’s comments have been “unhelpful”, he remains confident a new deal can be agreed.

“It’s nothing I didn’t think about or know,” Parish said in an interview with The Athletic when asked about Glasner’s criticism of the transfer business at Selhurst Park.
