LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Louisville Fire Department responded to an overnight housefire. That fire ended up spreading to a nearby home.
Crews were dispatched around 1:45 a.m. to 3013 River Park Drive.
At the scene, firefighters encountered heavy fire conditions in a three-story vacant residential structure. Strong winds contributed to the fire spreading to two adjacent homes—one vacant and one occupied.
Firefighters deployed multiple hand lines, blitz attacks, and master streams to combat the fire.
The fire was fueled by an active natural gas service, which prolonged extinguishment efforts.
The incident was brought under control at 3:13 am with over 35 firefighters on scene.
No injuries or rescues were reported.
One occupant from an adjacent home was displaced and is being assisted
