Deal says extended warranties make sense for items that are expensive to fix or replace, but should be skipped on easily repairable or replaceable items - or on items that already have a long parts or labor warranty.
Deal says an extended warranty is: “It’s a service contract that you buy separate from the manufacturer’s warranty that already comes with the product. It can extend how long you’re eligible for a repair, give you accidental damage coverage, or even include perks like a loaner device or an in-home repair service.”
