A blind senior dog is struggling to adjust to her new life after being surrendered to the shelter by her previous owners.
Kim Schulze, Behavior Program Manager at Seattle Humane , posted a video to her TikTok @kim.and.dogs showcasing Kiki's heartbreaking story.
“She lived with a family for four years,” Schulze told Newsweek . “They had a baby while Kiki was living in the home. When the baby became a toddler, Kiki became more stressed and hid in her crate away from the child.”
With another baby on the way, Schulze said Kiki’s owner determined their home was “no longer a good fit” for her and surrendered her to Seattle Humane.
The decision to surrender Kiki was not one taken lightly. A spokesperson for Seattle Humane told Newsweek that it was ultimately down to concerns that Kiki
