Paul Thomas Anderson's acclaimed movie is up for best comedy/musical, as well as best actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and best actress for Chase Infiniti, at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards, which announced this year's nominees on Dec. 8. The Jan. 11 ceremony, which features returning host Nikki Glaser, airs live on CBS and streams on Paramount+ (8 p.m. ET/5 PT). In the TV categories, HBO's "The White Lotus" led all shows with six nominations (including best drama series) while Netflix's "Adolescence" scored five.

The best movie drama category includes "Sentimental Value" (which had eight total nominations), "Sinners" (seven nods), "Hamnet," "It Was Just an Accident," "Frankenstein" and "The Secret Agent." The other big prize of the night is best comedy/musical, a field that includes "One Battle After Another," "Marty Supreme," "Bugonia," "Blue Moon," "No Other Choice" and "Nouvelle Vague."

Michael B. Jordan is up for best film drama actor alongside Wagner Moura ("The Secret Agent"), Joel Edgerton ("Train Dreams"), Dwayne Johnson ("The Smashing Machine"), Jeremy Allen White ("Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere") and Oscar Isaac ("Frankenstein"). Likely Oscar nominees DiCaprio and Timothée Chalamet ("Marty Supreme") lead the contingent for best film comedy/musical actor, which also offers Ethan Hawke ("Blue Moon"), George Clooney ("Jay Kelly"), Jesse Plemons ("Bugonia") and Lee Byung Hun ("No Other Choice"). Cynthia Erivo scored her second consecutive nomination for best comedy/musical actress and she'll compete against Infiniti, Rose Byrne ("If I Had Legs I'd Kick You"), Emma Stone ("Bugonia"), Amanda Seyfried ("The Testament of Ann Lee") and Kate Hudson ("Song Sung Blue").

Erivo's "Wicked" costar Ariana Grande is back in the supporting actress contingent, which includes Emily Blunt ("The Smashing Machine"), Teyana Taylor ("One Battle After Another"), Amy Madigan ("Weapons") and "Sentimental Value" standouts Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas and Elle Fanning ("Sentimental Value").
