NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office arrested a North Vernon man on charges of child abuse and neglect of a dependent on Thursday, December 4.

Jennings County Deputies met and spoke with someone who provided video evidence of Child Abuse obtained from an indoor home security camera. Deputies started toward the address in Country Squire Lakes, but while enroute, Deputies passed a vehicle that matched the description of what the suspect drove. After conducting a high-risk traffic stop on the vehicle, the suspect, 38-year-old Joshua Campbell of North Vernon, was placed into custody. Also located in the vehicle was the 5-year-old male victim in the Child Abuse. The victim was transported to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital Emergency Room for evaluation of possible injurie
