COLUMBUS — The Lovejoy High School athletic program has a storied history throughout the years with state titles in girls basketball, state runner-up finishes in football and other accomplishments — and the Lovejoy cheerleading team recently added to that legacy.

On Thursday, Dec. 4, the team won the GHSA Class AAAAA Game Day Cheerleading Championship in Columbus, beating 12 other schools.
