The Pew Research Center has released new figures on Americans’ trust in Washington:
“Just 17% of Americans now say they trust the government in Washington to do what is right “just about always” (2%) or “most of the time” (15%).”
Even among Republicans only “ 26% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say they trust the federal government[.]”
Hispanic (20%) and Asian (22%) adults are marginally more likely to trust the federal government “most of the time” or “just about always” than White (16%) and Black (14%) voters.
