Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to lay the foundation stone for the project on December 21.
The Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) and Aurobindo Fertilizer & Chemicals Corporation Limited (AVFCCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enable the proposed Ammonia–Urea Complex within the existing premises of BVFCL, Namrup.
The AVFCCL is a newly incorporated joint venture company established to build and operate the new ammonia-urea complex.
The MoU was signed in the presense of Mohan Raj Shetty, Chairman & Managing Director of BVFCL, and Siba Prasad Mohanty, Managing Director of AVFCCL, along with representatives from both organizations.
