Last week a seal stumbled into a New Zealand bar and appeared to gesture towards the IPA taps in front of dumbfounded punters. Publicans at the beach bar Spring and Fern in Richmond were treated to the sight of an unusual drinker joining their midst.

Hilarious CCTV footage shows the little seal pup lumbering up towards the ale section of the bar . Many people inside the establishment immediately joined the efforts to gently evacuate the animal, with one person waving a towel as the seal wove in and out of seats Benny Hill-style.
