Mike Soroka appears to be on the move again.
The 28-year-old right handed pitcher has reportedly agreed to a one-year contract with the Arizona Diamondbacks, ESPN’s Jesse Rogers and Jeff Passan first reported on Monday.
A Calgary native, Soroka spent most of last season with the Washington Nationals, but was moved to the Chicago Cubs at the trade deadline. Between Washington and Chicago, Soroka posted a 4.52 ERA across 22 appearances, 17 of which were starts.
Once a highly touted prospect with the Braves, Soroka was an All-Star for Atlanta in 2019, and finished sixth in Cy Young voting that season. He did not play in either 2021 or 2022 due to significant injuries.
Soroka finished the 2025 season coming out of the Cubs bullpen, posting a rough 16.2 ERA in 1.2 playoff innings pitched.
