The 2026 World Cup will look unlike any previous tournament after FIFA effectively decided to scrap the traditional 45-minute half. Next year’s World Cup will take place across June and July in Canada, the United States and Mexico, forcing organisers to find solutions to the scorching temperatures expected at many of the stadiums.
