Thomas Allen Hutson, 91, of Hyde Park, passed from this life early on December 3, 2025 at Birch Creek Assisted Living in Smithfield, Utah.

He was born November 12, 1934 in Glendale, California to Walter Allen and Annabelle Gardiner Hutson. Tom and his brother William Gardiner attended a Catholic school intending to become priests. Tom’s love of the outdoors led him instead to pursue a degree in forestry at Montana State. While there he met Gaynell Johnsen, of Bear River City Utah. He ended up back in southern California working his way through school pursuing a degree in education. Gaynell found her way to California a short time later and they resumed dating.
