A Butler man was charged when he was found in possession of a blue stamp bag after fleeing a hit-and-run crash in Franklin Township, police said.
Jeremy Daniel McCauley, 36, was charged Thursday, Dec. 4, with one misdemeanor count each of accident involving damage and drug paraphernalia possession, and three misdemeanor DUI counts following a two-vehicle crash earlier that day.
Police said they were dispatched at 12:57 a.m. for the crash at the intersection of New Castle and Eagle Mill roads. A man and woman at the scene told police a vehicle had struck their vehicle before leaving the scene, according to the affidavit.
The man told police that the vehicle that fled had been traveling west in the eastbound lane when it proceeded to strike their vehicle on the right side.
