COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (WOWT) - The Iowa Department of Corrections is reporting the escape of an inmate last Thursday.

According to a release, Ashley Nicole Duncan, 31, did not report back to the Council Bluffs Residential Correctional Facility on Thursday as instructed.

Duncan is a white woman who stands at about 5′2″ and weighs about 146 pounds. She is convicted on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony on property and assault with a weapon on peace officers, the release states.

“Persons with information on Duncan’s whereabouts should contact local police,” the release reads.
