Barely five hours after a deadly fire broke out at Goa's nightclub Birch by Romeo Lane, killing at least 25 people late on Saturday night, India Today has learnt that both owners, Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, fled to Phuket, Thailand, on December 7 via an IndiGo flight from Mumbai.

The police filed an FIR against both Saurabh and Gaurav after they went absconding soon after the incident at Goa's Arpora. Even while on the run, Saurabh Luthra took to his Instagram handle and wrote: "The management expresses profound grief and is deeply shaken by the tragic loss of lives resulting from the unfortunate incident at Birch.
