A man remains in hospital after a serious assault in a Liverpool village. Officers were called to reports of members of the public giving CPR to a man who had been involved in a fight outside the Hare and Hounds pub in the early hours of Sunday (December 7).
Officers arrived at the corner of Mill Lane and West Derby Village in West Derby at around 12.45am, where they found a man with serious head injuries. He was taken to Aintree Hospital.
Police initially said that that a 39-year-old man from Old Swan was arrested at the scene, while a 24-year-old man from Croxteth was arrested after he turned up at hospital with an injury to his face. Both were arrested on suspicion of Secti
