It’s finally official.
The Penn State Board of Trustees approved new head football coach Matt Campbell’s contract during a Monday morning meeting of the Committee on Equity and Human Resources . He is the 17th head coach in program history.
Penn State did not disclose the results of the vote from the 12-person committee.
The terms of Campbell’s deal — reported to be eight years — were also not immediately made available.
Campbell, 46, is set for an introductory press conference at noon on Monday.
