Two former schools in Merseyside have been sold off to a property investment firm that could look to turn them into new flats. The company specialises in high-end, luxury apartments across Merseyside.
The Hamilton Building and the Conway Centre, both located on Conway Street in central Birkenhead , have been sold by Wirral Council to APG Capital Ltd or a nominated subsidiary company. This is following a decision by councillors in September 2025 to market the properties subject to planning permission for a residential scheme.
Both buildings are former schools which were later used by the local authority as offices. They closed around 2020 and have stayed that way ever since though they still cost around £30
