The Minnesota Timberwolves are currently in an impressive position during the 2025-26 NBA season. They hold the 6th spot in the Western Conference standings with a record of 15 wins and eight losses. To further improve their standing, Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is reportedly advocating for the acquisition of a Dallas Mavericks superstar.

While Mavericks star Anthony Davis has recently been in the spotlight due to trade rumours, he is not the player Edwards is seeking. According to Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson, Edwards and the Timberwolves are interested in bringing Kyrie Irving to Minnesota.
