The post reportedly included language that was interpreted as potentially threatening due to its timing and content, police said. The statement began circulating online shortly before the parade was set to start.
Officers located the person responsible for the post and took them into custody, according to police. There was no ongoing threat to the public.
The Christmas parade was not delayed or canceled and proceeded as scheduled with enhanced security measures.
