BEMENT, Ill. (WAND) — Crews have fixed the leak after a water main break left the Village of Bement without running water this weekend.
A boil order remains in effect until at least Wednesday.
People were able to stop by and get water Sunday at an emergency set up ran with the village's fire and public work's departments using a tanker truck.
The outage impacted about the entire population of Bement, about 1,500 residents.
A Facebook post by the Piatt County EMA said Sunday that a "leak" had been plugged. The post said the update was from the "public works director."
According to the post, wells were pumping and feeding water into the water tower and water mains.
