The Maharashtra government has declared that digital land records are now downloadable and legally legitimate in all government offices. According to a recent regulation from the tax department, landowners can now get digitally signed copies of crucial land documents, such as 7/12 property cards, 8-A extracts (khata), mutation certificates, and property cards.
According to revenue minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, the 7/12 digital land excerpts are accessible through the official Bhulekh Mahabhumi website (mahabhumi.gov.in) and can be downloaded for a nominal fee of ₹15, effective immediately.
