SRINAGAR : Jammu and Kashmir has emerged as a notable hub for women entrepreneurs, with 1,84,315 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) registered and functioning under female leadership between July 2020 and November 2025. The figures, provided in the Rajya Sabha by Minister of State for MSMEs Shobha Karandlaje, show a steady growth of women-led businesses in the Union Territory, spanning manufacturing, services, and trading sectors, reflecting an increasing participation of women in the local economy despite regional challenges.
