New Florida football coach Jon Sumrall has chosen not to retain receivers coach/interim coach Billy Gonzales for his staff, according to a report from On3's Pete Nakos

Gonzales went 1-4 as the interim coach for the Florida Gators , picking up his lone win in the final game of the season after UF beat rival Florida State 40-21. He took over as UF's interim coach after Billy Napier was fired on Oct. 19.

The 54-year-old Gonzales also helped keep UF's recruiting class together through the coaching transition from Napier to Sumrall, who was hired on Nov. 30. Florida's class of 18 scholarship players and one walk on wound up ranked 15th nationally, per 247Sports.
