JOHNSON CREEK, Wis. (WKOW) — The Village of Johnson Creek kicked off the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Celebration on November 30 at Veterans Park.
The event offered a festive atmosphere with horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers, and visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Community spirit shone brightly as the Stuff the Truck food drive collected more than 79 pounds of non-perishable food for the Johnson Creek Food Pantry, according to organizers.
The evening also featured the presentation of the Christmas Star Award to Pastor Dale Vlastnik for his dedicated support of community events.
“Each year, the Tree Lighting brings out the very best of Johnson Creek. It’s a wonderful reminder of our community pride, our commitment to one another, and the traditions that continue to grow
