Boston Red Sox fans hoping for a Ketel Marte trade might want to temper their expectations.
Although Marte has been linked to the Red Sox recen tly by The New York Post ‘s Jon Heyman and others, a fresh Marte update from WEEI’s Rob Bradford (who is at the Winter Meetings) arrived on Monday morning.
“I’m told no real momentum involving possible Red Sox deal for Ketel Marte,” Bradford wrote .
Marte slashed .283/.376/.517 in 2025 with 28 home runs, 72 RBI and 87 runs across 126 games. His .893 OPS ranked among the NL’s elite, earning him a third All-Star nod, second Silver Slugger, and 22nd in MVP voting.
A post-All-Star break home robbery briefly disrupted Marte’s rhythm. He missed three games but more than made up for it later in the season with a .349 tear in his final 10 out
