1BROOKLYN, NY – A 33-year-old man was assaulted and robbed late Saturday night aboard a southbound 2 train before the suspects fled at the Flatbush Avenue station, according to police.

The attack occurred around 11:30 p.m. at the Nostrand Avenue and Newkirk Avenue station, where three unidentified individuals approached the victim and began arguing with him.

The confrontation escalated into violence as the two males and one female punched and kicked the victim in the head and body, leaving him with swelling and bruising.

One of the men also displayed a knife during the assault before the group took the victim’s black bookbag, valued at approximately $46.
