The city of Mobile has failed to make rent payments for multiple months for space inside Government Plaza, Mobile County officials allege.

Prior to ending a regular meeting Monday morning, Dec. 8, Commissioner Randall Dueitt addressed the issue publicly, pressing the city over unpaid rent for use of the county’s downtown facilities, saying the county has been left carrying the costs and may be forced to consider eviction or legal action.
