WILKES-BARRE — A former Nanticoke man awarded a new trial on child sex offenses as he served up to 12 years in state prison was sentenced by a Luzerne County judge to immediate parole last week.
Michael L. Sansone, 38, through his attorney, Matthew T. Muckler, entered a plea agreement with state prosecutors before Judge Michael T. Vough on Friday.
The plea agreement involved Sansone, who listed an address in Saylorsburg, Monroe County, pled guilty to indecent assault, corruption of minors and child endangerment as Vough sentenced him to immediate parole with 2,421 days credit for time served in state prison.
Nanticoke police charged Sansone in May 2016, with sexually assaulting a then 8-year-old girl between July 2015 and April 2016, according to court records.
