Alabama native Walton Goggins has earned a Golden Globe nomination for his standout role in Season 3 of the HBO series “The White Lotus.”

Goggins, 54, was among the nominees announced on Monday for the 2026 awards , in the category of Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role on Television. It’s the first Golden Globe nomination for the celebrated actor , who was born in Birmingham and raised in Georgia.

Goggins is competing against a fellow cast member from “The White Lotus,” Jason Isaacs, as well as Owen Cooper and Ashley Waters (both for “Adolescence”), Billy Crudup (“The Morning Show”) and Tramell Tillman (“Severance”).

Goggins earned an Emmy nomination earlier this year for his work in “White Lotus,” losing to Tillman at the 2025 ceremony.
