BEAUMONT, Texas — A touring Broadway-style production of The Tina Turner musical is playing in Orange this week, with its final local performance set for 7 p.m. Monday night at the Lutcher Theater telling the story of Turner’s life through music and drama.

Cast members India Shelbi Boone, who plays Tina Turner and Monty Kane, as Ike Turner,,The show is based on Tina Turner’s life and is told from her perspective, focusing on resilience and personal triumph. “It’s a story of triumph and perseverance more than anything,” Boone said. She described the production as a high-energy, emotional experience, telling audiences to expect “rock and roll… a bunch of soul… a bunch of blues,” adding, “You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna cry, you’re gonna dance.”
