FLORENCE — The Pinal County Attorney’s Office announced it will coordinate with ICE in the investigation and prosecution of undocumented people involved in violent crimes.
The new coordination comes as the Trump administration seeks to expand the 287(g) program and recruit more Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers to meet his promise of mass deportations.
This was the first time the Pinal County Attorney’s Office has coordinated with ICE, Pinal County Attorney Brad Miller said Dec. 8 at a news conference.
The Pinal County Attorney’s Office will coordinate with ICE through the task force model of the 287(g) program, Miller said.
